One of the oldest gemstones, Carnelian's name is derived from the Latin word "corneolus", meaning cherry. Ancient Egyptians carried it as a source of energy, and placed it in tombs as magic armor for the after life. These bright beads are said to increase vitality and a zest for life. Its is said to bring self-confidence whoever wears it.
